Get To Know Me!

Hey y'all, I’m Carlie! I’m so glad that you’ve stumbled across my blog and I hope that the words you're about to read inspire you!

It may just be me, but I often have a hard time figuring out my future. I spend each day wondering if I should switch my major (again), would life be better if I moved schools, what if I don’t like my first job after college, what if… you get the point. I push aside the true passions I have due to fear. Well I’ve had enough of doing that and I hope that if you’re struggling with fear of your future, this blog will encourage you to live in the now, realize the beauty that is already around you, and to chase after the true passions and purpose that God has placed on your life!

I have many things I want to do in life, but my number one goal is to pursue full time ministry. I am a worship leader at my church where I play the keyboard, guitar, and sing. I have a big heart for Jesus, people, and telling others about His love! I have been told by many people that pursuing this dream is impossible, but I learned that if it’s God’s will, nothing can stop it.

I believe that your ministry does not end at the church, but that’s only where it begins. Everything we do outside of the church should be part of our ministry and effort to be a light. I decided to major in Public Relations in hopes that this degree can be a help to the church. I would also love to work for some kind of Veterans Organization in the future. My father was in the Army and that is something dear to my heart. I have dreams of going on mission trips, doing prison ministry, and so much more.

Another dream of mine is to open up my own coffee shop someday. I want it to be a place where all people feel welcome to dwell together. I am a coffee fanatic and I want to learn the basics of being a barista while also trying to learn the basics of this crazy thing called life.

That’s what this blog is all about.
